Brief Biography:
J.D. first joined the Flow Control Research Lab in 2008 as an undergraduate research assistant, and received his B.S. in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in May 2009. J.D. continued his graduate studies at RPI, and graduated with a Ph.D. in Aeronautical Engineering in May 2014. J.D.’s dissertation focused on the flow interactions of finite-span synthetic jets on a swept-back wing. He is an avid baseball fan, always rooting for his favorite team, The New York Mets.
